Document Description
BAE Systems proposes demolition of Piers 4 and 5; removal of five mooring dolphins; construction of new bulkhead sections; relocation of shoreline infrastructure; construction of new replacement Pier 4; and, construction of one new mooring dolphin. The goal of the BAE Systems Pier 4 Replacement Project is to replace an existing 52-year old pier with a new modern pier, which along with the above-noted project elements which will allow BAE Systems to service the future needs of commercial and Navy vessels at their existing facility. The project is consistent with existing Port Master Plan (PMP) and does not require nor involve a PMP amendment. The project is located in Planning District 4, Sub-area 43- Belt Street Industrial with Marine Related and Specialized Berthing Industrial designations per the Planning District 4 Precise Plan.
