Document Description
The Proposed Project would widen Avenue S between 30th Street East and 45th Street East along the current existing alignment of Avenue S within the City of Palmdale, CA. The Proposed Project will widen the roadway to three travel lanes in each direction, and will include construction of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. The Proposed Project also calls for construction of raised landscape medians and a Class I bike path on the south side of Avenue S for the full length of the project. The Avenue S Corridor is a major arterial that connects SR 14 and Hwy 138 and is heavily traveled by both the local community and regional users. The Avenue S Corridor supports local and regional access to a mixture of uses from adjacent residential homes, businesses, a hospital, a school, a water park, and agricultural land.
