Document Description
This fuel break will seperate the Aptos Creek Watershed and the Soquel Creek Watershed and will allow fire equipment access from the town of Soquel into Nisene Marks State Parks along this strategic ridgeline. The upper extent of the project (Sand Point) ties into the existing Aptos Creek Fire Road. A large portion of this fuelbreak involves the removal of approximately two-hundred twelve (212) highly flammable eucalyptus trees along the ridge. As such, it has been determined that there will be no impact to any listed plant or animal species as result of the proposed action.
