Document Description
The proposed project consists of reestablishing two two distinct shaded fuelbreaks along 2.4 miles of Empire Grade Road. The Fall Creek fuelbreak will be located between Pine Flat Road and Sunlit Lane, while in the Pineridge fuelbreak will be located south of the Fall Creek fuelbreak to benefit the communities of Pineridge and Bonnywood. Up to 50 ft. on each side of Empire Grade Road, concentration of brush/shrubs and dead surface fuels will be removed to reduce fuel continuity. Trees will be pruned to a 10 ft. height and thinned to 10 to 20 ft. spacing alongside the roadway.
