Document Description
Sagehen Creek is impinging against the embankment supporting the northbound lane of State Route 89, at post mile 7.8. Significant loss of embankment within the last six months now threatens the roadway above. The proejct proposes to place one large diameter log into the embankment void. This log will be placed at an angle pointing downstream with an accompanying large cottonwood root ball. This woody debris will be surrounded by 1/2 ton rock slope protection (RSP) to complete filling the void. Willow cuttings will be placed into the RSP as a final measure.
