Document Description
The project is part of a larger rehabilitation program on the trolley system to provide Low-Floor Light Rail Vehicle access on the Blue Line between Old Town and San Transit Centers, and the Orange Line between 12th & Imperial Avenue Transit Center and Santee Town Center. The project proposes construction of a new traction power substation to establish the power requirements for low-floor vehicle service. The use of low-floor vehicles would improve passenger loading, including wheelchairs, from the platform. Development of the 65th Street substation will require property acquisition. The subject property is under current ownership by private owner and will require partial or full acquisition to construct the project.
