Document Description
The proposed Project will construct a 1,150-foot long by 12-foot wide acceleration lane with 8-foot shoulder on eastbound SR 120 with a 600 foot lane taper. This will require the addition of 20 feet of new pavement along the east bound lane. The existing left turn pocket on westbound SR 120 will be increased to the standard 8-foot width by re-striping to shift the lanes southward and will be extended to 585 feet for storage and taper. A high-side super-elevation ditch would be constructed along the edge of the new shoulder to direct water run-off to an existing natural channel. The existing AC dike on the eastbound SR 120 will be replaced in kind. The 4 foot dike along westbound SR 120 will be replaced with a 6 foot dike (Type A) to accommodate stormwater runoff from existing and new pavement. An 18-inch Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) which 4runs under La Grange road will be replaced with a 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe with flare-end sections, and Rock Slope Protection (RSP) will be placed at the outlet. The Project will require the removal of three oak trees under 24 inches in diameter at breast height (DBH). The Project will avoid impacts to elderberry bushes.
