Document Description
The City of Fairfield proposed to construct a grade seperation (overcrossing) over the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks located on Peabody Road, just south of Vanden Road. The project will eliminate the existing at-grade crossing of the tracks at this location. The overcrossing will be built with a combination of cast in place/pre-stressed reinforced concrete box girders and pre-stressed/pre-cast "I" girders on cast in drilled hole piles. The overcrossing will extend from approximately the intersection at Vanden Road/Peabody Road intersection to approximately 400 ft south of the existing Markeley Lane. It will have the capacity to carry 6 lanes of traffic once completed, with bike lanes in each direction and a sidewalk on the east side. The following will be involved/occur as part of this project.
