This project involves the approval of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW) by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) pursuant to Health & Safety Code, chapter 6.8, as submitted on October 4, 2011 by Caporale Consultants LLC, on behalf of United States Postal Service (USPS). The RAW focuses on soil vapor extraction (SVE) to remediate contamination of concern (COCs) which includes perchloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE) and 1, 1-dichloroethylene (1, 1-DCE), Carbon Tetrachloride and Methylene Chloride in soil and soil vapor. The removal reduces the human health-based risk assessments to an acceptable standard for residential use.
