Butte Water District will idle up to 3,350 acres of rice land to make up to 11,500 acre-feet of water and/or will pump groundwater from wells located in Sutter County for up to 5,350 acre-feet of water. Said idling and/or groundwater pumping would make water available for transfer to the participating member public agencies of the State Water Contractors incorporated.
