BH Farming, LLC proposes to divert up to 2,000 acre-feet of water to storage annually from Burch Creek and an unnamed stream tributary to Burch Creek for use on its 1,420-acre walnut and almond farm in Tehama County. The applicant will construct a storage reservoir on the unnamed tributary and will also divert to storage from Burch Creek from November 1 of each year through April 30 of the succeeding year. The water will be used for irrigation, frost protection, recreation, stock watering and wildlife enhancement.
