The RMA program covers five types of routine flood control maintenance activities: 1) Vegetation management; 2) Sediment and debris removal; 3) Erosion control; 4) Maintenance and repair of flood control structures; and 5) Levee maintenance. The primary purpose of the program is to reduce the potential risk of flooding and associated damage to adjacent properties and infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, roads and flood control facilities.
