The project site is located within the Russian Ridge Open Space Reserve and consists of three non-contiguous undeveloped improvement areas immediately west of Alpine Road. General Plan: General Open Space and Zoning: Resource Management District (RM)
Construct a staging area/parking lot, commemorative site, and two connector trails on Russia Ridge Open Space Preserve. The project would also close a 1-mile segment of an existing multi-use trail to bicycles (to protect sensitive biological resources), and amend two Williamson Act contracts to allow for recreational use of the underlining parcels that is compatible with ongoing grazing operations.
