- Document Description
- The development of a supplement groundwater source for FWD and its customers through the installation of one groundwater production well. During certain years, and at certain times each year, there may be inadequate surface water supplies to meet the District's irrigation demands. The installation of this well will provide the District with a supplemental water supply that will increase water supply reliability and flexibility on a local and regional basis. The well is expected to produce a maximum of about 3.5 million gallons per day to reduce water diversions from the Feather River during drought years and from April through August. Under this project, no new lands will be irrigated.
