Document Description
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) has authorized a Local Resources Program (LRP) agreement with the City of Long Beach and the Water Replenishment District (WRD) to provide financial incentives for the proposed project. Pursuant to the provisions of CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines, WRD, acting as a Lead Agency, adopted a Negative Declaration on April 20, 2012 for the Leo J Vander Lans Water Treatment Facility Expansion Project. The project would provide an additional 3,475 acre feet per year (AFY) of recycled water to the existing seawater intrusion barrier.
