Document Description
The applicant, Lord Constructors for CRST Expedited, proposes a facility that would serve as the base for the company's Western U.S. operations, which would be located on the north side of Wilson Street between Agua Mansa Road and Brown Avenue on a vacant 18.72 gross acre site zoned Manufacturing-Heavy (M-H). The project proposes to construct and operate a 31,665 s.f. trucking maintenance building for the routine servicing and washing (using a fully-automated truck wash bay) of the company's tractors and trailers. The site would also feature a 30,468 s.f. building consisting of offices, a truck driver education center for classroom training of prospective employees and dormitories to house them for their five day education and orientation period. (There is no warehousing, loading or unloading of freight or "behind the wheel" driver training proposed for this facility.)
