Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2013-0096-R5) to the project applicant, Quarry Creek Investors, LLC. The applicant proposes to alter the tributaries to Buena Vista Creek by removing 0.34 acre of southern cottonwood-willow riparian forest, 0.04 acre of southern willow scrub, 0.02 acre of mulefat scrub, 0.02 acre non-native vegetation, and filling 0.11 acre unvegetated stream channel as a result of grading required to build a residential-oriented planned community. The construction of a bridge spanning Buena Vista Creek will result in shading impacts to 0.20 acre of riparian forest and freshwater marsh, but will not have footings within the stream. As partial compensation for unavoidable impacts to riparian habitat, the applicant will be conducting restoration and enhancement activities within Buena Vista Creek and a tributary thereto, including grading, planting, and exotics removal.
