Document Description
The District proposes to construct a new educational facility designed to accommodate kindergarten through eighth grade students. The proposed K-8 school would be constructed on approximately 22 acres of land. The school would consist of centrally located classroom villages (40 classrooms), a kindergarten (6 classrooms) with a play area, a pre-school (2 classrooms) with a play area, Special Day classrooms (4), and a student center. The southeastern part of the school would contain an administration building, a multi-purpose room, food services, a fitness center, and locker rooms. Parking would be provided at the southwest corner of the school site. Hard courts and the athletic field area would be located primarily on the northeastern half of the school. The athletic field would be equipped with field lighting. Construction activities would start in November 2012, and terminate in August 2014. The school would open for instruction in September 2014.
