Document Description
Th project serves to remediate soil and groundwater contamination caused by industrial activities at the location of the former AMOT Controls Corporation in Richmond (Site). The 0.7-acre Site is located in an area with a mixture of residential, commercial, and industrial uses. The Site is bordered on the north by storage yards, on the east by First Street, on the south by Nevin Avenue, and on the west by A Street. AMOT Controls, which manufactured metal components for industrial control devices, operated at the Site from about 1947 to 2005. Halogenated volatile organic compounds (HVOCs) were used for cleaning metal parts.
