- The proposed project consists of designing and implementing improvements to existing dental facilities at the following nine state prison operated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR): Calipatria State Prison, California Correctional Center, California Correctional institution, Centinela State Prison, Chuckawalla Valley State Prison, Deuel Vocational institution, Ironwood State Prison, North Kern State Prison, and Sierra Conservation Center. These proposed improvements constitute Phase II of three-phase statewide project to complete physical plant modifications necessary to ensure CDCR compliance with a court order resulting from Perez vs. Cate, a class-action lawsuit regarding dental care for inmates.
