Document Description
Re-routing existing Thornton Multi-use Trail in Humboldt Redwoods State Park to decrease excessive linear grades and sedimentation issues. Work will construct 5,160 ft. of new trail with a 5 ft. one-half to full bench width; two steel stringer footbridges, 24 ft. and 14 ft. long and 5 ft. wide, with 42-inch high wooden handrails and plastic mudsills. Bridge abutments will be outside of the channel. Remove 1,084 ft. of existing road/trail and two crossings and install swales at spring locations. All work will be done using a Sweco dozer and hand crews.
