Document Description
The San Mateo County Harbor District (District) proposes to perform maintenance dredging at, and in the vicinity of, the existing public boat launch area at Pillar Point Harbor. Heavy shoaling has rendered the easternmost public boat launch ramps unusable, hindering public access. The removal of approximately 5,000 CY of shoaled material is required to re-establish public access at these boat launch ramps. The proposed dredge material site, located at Perched Beach, is an approved dredge material disposal site for the District, and has been used for prior Prior Point Harbor dredging activities - most recently in 1998 and 2008. The maintenance dredging is expected to occur in the spring of 2012.
