Document Description
This project proposes to reduce the fuel loading adjacent to the existing private road by removing shrubs for a distance 10' on both sides of the road for a linier distance of 3350'. Additionally, shrubs will be thinned to 50% crown closure from beyond the 10' to a total distance of 30' on both sides of the road. All work will be preformed by CAL FIRE hand crews using hand tools, chain saws and diesel powered chipper. Total project treatment area is 4.5 acres. Shrubs will be cut above ground level with root structures left in place. Mature trees will be left in place and trimmed to a height of 13.5' where they overhang roadway.
