Document Description
The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Natural Resources program will removed noxious weeds, utilizing community service groups and volunteer teams, from 9.8 miles of roadside along California State Highway 120. Fourteen weedy sites, totaling two acres, are located due west of Yosemite National Park's Big Oak Flat entrance, east of Groveland, CA. Additional sites along the highway corridor may also be added to the project and removal activities would be limited to removal of noxious weeds with no removal of healthy, mature trees. The sites are surrounded by mixed-conifer, yellow pine forest, entirely within Stanislaus national Forest boundaries, site locations range from Rainbow Pool to Evergreen Road.
