Document Description
The City of Shafter will retrofit and update approximately 600 water meters using Prop 84 Implementation Grant Funding. A number of meters will be retrofitted and updated in unincorporated areas where the property owners have abandoned their community water wells and systems and connected with the City's water distribution system. The Shafter area communities that will benefit from the program include the Mexican Colony, Cherokee Strip, Smith's Corner, North Shafter, North Park, North Shafter Farm Labor Camp, Thomas Lane, former Burbank Water System, etc.
