Document Description
A waterline repair and/or replacement will occur in Little Picacho Wash on 1.1 miles of park property within park right of way. An excavator will dig a 14 - 20 inch wide trench, approximately three feet deep to lay new pipe in sections where the pipe has been damaged. The digging will begin approximately 1.1 miles from a well pump. In some locations, hand tools such as shovels and digging bars will be used to unearth the existing pipeline or clear trenching for the new pipeline. Excavated sands and soils will be used to backfill and compact the trench. The project will repair and or replace the Picacho Mine water line which was damaged by flash flooding events in Little Picacho Wash in 2009 and 2010.
