Document Description
To reduce the risk of levee failure and flooding of adjacent agricultural areas and rural residents near the town of Tranquility, the Project will remove up to 20,000 cubic yards of sediment from the channel of Fresno Slough. Sediment will be removed to an average depth of 3 feet, with excavation limited to a depth of 4 feet. An area of approximately 4 acres will be disturbed. Sediment will only be removed from the dry non-vegetated areas of the channel. Sediment will be dozed into a pile loaded into a truck or relocated outside of the streambed for late removal. Work may take place at up to three (3) sites simultaneously. Work will occur when the channel is dry.
