NOE - Notice of Exemption
Conduct geotechnical investigation and soils analysis near the parking lot at Fort Ross State Historic Park to determine subsurface conditions in preparation for proposed temporary placement of a monument. Work will drill two, 8" diameter x 30-40' deep holes using a drill rig; once material is extracted, fill the holes with cement grout; test the soil samples and spread excess soil on site.
Project consists of basic data collection and resource evaluation activities that will not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource included as soils and structural engineering tests in the Department of parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR S 15300.4.
