Recreation Hall Reroofing
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Replace all existing wood shingle roofing in the 1970's with new asphalt shingle material on the historic Recreation Hall in Russian Gulch State Park to increase fire resistance of the building. Work will repair plywood sheathing as needed, roof vent and chimney flashing; install the new barkwood colored asphalt composition shingles according to the manufacturer's specifications and will retain an appearance similar to the old wood shingles.
Replacement of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; and the repair and maintenance of historical resources, in a manner conssisten with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer; included as "reroofing" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR section 15300.4.
