Document Description
The purpose of the Homewood Water Quality Improvement Project is to reduce erosion and improve the quality of stormwater discharged from the County rights-of-way to reduce the amount of sediment discharged into Lake Tahoe. The project will assist the County in regulatory compliance for the Lake Tahoe Total Maximum Daily Load. The project design includes low impact development concepts and incorporates adjacent agency improvements for comingled flows. The project will have direct benefit to the quality of nearby waterways, Lake Tahoe, as well as benefits to the natural environment. This project is part of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) EIP Project No. 725.
