Document Description
FYI Final This project will extend the existing terracing project upstream, northward, increase channel capacity by grading to lower the top-of-bank surface approximately 4 to 6 feet in a zone extending from approximately 75 to 150 feet in width along the river frontage. These improvements will provide local flood impact reduction to residences and businesses, water quality improvements, and aquatic and terrestrial habitat benefits. Components of the flood terrace excavation will include creation and/or restoration of riparian habitat buffer zones, seasonal wetlands, and shall surface water filtering swales (bioswales) in addition the project will include public access and education.
