The proposed project is the extension of the existing Class 1 San Tomas Aquino/Saratoga Creek Trail that runs along the west side of San Tomas Aquino Creek (north of Monroe Street) and the west side of San Tomas Expressway (south of Monroe Street). The trail currently ends at the northwest corner of the San Tomas Expressway/Cabrillo Avenue intersection.
