Document Description
The DTSC is considering approval of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) for the former Santa Cruz Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) Site (hereafter "the Site") pursuant to Health & Safety Code, Division 20, Chapter 20, Chapter 6.8 as submitted in December 2011 by Terra Pacific Group on behalf of PG&E and Chevron Environmental Management Company (Chevron). The RAP consists of remedial activities to address soil, soil gas and groundwater contaminants at the Site including arsenic, benzene, cyanide, lead, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and petroleum hydrocarbons. Site investigations found soil, soil gas and groundwater contamination that is associated with former MGP operations. Remedial activities at the Site are to be jointly performed by PG&E and Chevron and are expected to begin in spring/summer 2012.
