Document Description
This proposed project involves the construction, operation, and decommissioning of a 766-acre photovoltaic solar facility, a 116.36-acre generation tie line corridor, and a 4.5-acre access road corridor, resulting in a total project area of 896.86 acres. The project will result in permanent impacts to 378.2 acres of desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) and Mojave ground squirrel (Spermophilus mohavensis) habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of desert tortoise and Mojave ground squirrel, which are designated as threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation. Minor Amendment No. 1 extends the timeline in which to post Security from 30 days to 90 days from the effective date of the ITP to allow Permittees time to complete their HM lands obligations to starting Covered Activities.
