Document Description
Helena Chemical Company was issued CUP 11-01 by the City of Calipatria to construct a 15,000 ton capacity dry fertilizer product, storage and distribution warehouse at 600 South Brown Avenue. A MND was prepared and adopted in accordance with the CEQA. In 2011, Helena Chemical requested an amendment to CUP 11-01 as they wish to expand their fertilizer facility in order to store an approximately 5,000,000 gallons of liquid fertilizer. Phase II of the project would consist of the construction of bulk liquid storage tanks as an auxiliary use to the approved bulk dry fertilizer facility.
