The project proposes improvements to the existing Archer campus totaling 60,271 sf of new development, including the replacement of the existing 30,071 sf North Wing of the Main Building with a 30,400 sf renovated North Wing, and the development of an approximately 39,330 sf of Multipurpose Facility, a 17,758 sf Performing Arts Center, and a 7,400 sf Visual Arts Center. The existing outdoor athletic field would be improved to include a regulation size soccer and softball field. Parking would be provided in a new underground parking structure located below the athletic field to accommodate 164 parking spaces, expandable to 251 parking spaces with the use of an attendant. The two adjacent properties currently owned by Archer, 11728 West Chaparal Street and 141 North Barrington Avenue, would be removed to accommodate the project. A portion of 141 North Barrington Avenue, referred to as the Residential Portion of the Barrington Parcel, would remain a residential use in accordance with section 12.07.01 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code. At full build out, the campus' total development would be 148,995 sf, and 75 percent of the campus would be open space.
