The Department of Fish and Game in cooperation with the San Joaquiin River Restoration Program (Program) is developing the San Joaquin River Salmon Conservation and Research Facility on existing State Property adjacent to the San Joaquin State Fish Hatchery (SJSFH) in Friant, CA. The Conservation Facility is an important part of the Program for propagating and the eventual reintroduction of spring-run Chinook salmon in the San Joaquin River.
