Document Description
The project includes amendment to the Capital Improvements Program to fund and complete the repair, stabilization and rehabilitation of Fire Station #39, constructed in the 1950's and closed in 2011 due to seismic instability. The building, eligible for listing as a landmark building pursuant to the National Register of Historic Places, will be improved with modern building upgrades, including ADA, elevator, new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and complete redesign of all building interior spaces. Exterior rehabilitation will be undertaken pursuant to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
