Document Description
The Pacificia Municipal Pier consists of four pre-cast reinforced concrete grider sections mounted on concrete pilings. The pier spans a total of 1,020 feet in the east-west direction into the Pacifica Ocean and another 120 feet long in the north-sourth direction. The deck surface, pier railing and underside of the pier have disbanding and spalling concrete, revealing corroded reinforcing steel. The pier piles have spalling concrete and exposed corroding reinforcing steel. The pier deck covers and supporting deck structure have deteriorated, removing the lip supporting the concrete deck covers. The Pacifica Municipal Pier Rehabilitation Project will design and perform the necessary concrete and reinforcing steel repairs to the pier piles, deck, railing, deck covers, and structural framing will be provided to support the deck covers to ensure the structural integrity and the continued use of the pier for years to come.
