Document Description
The project proposes to reduce accessibility barriers for the DMV's Hawthorne Office site. In addition to barrier removal, maintenance project will also be undertaken. Barrier accessibility will be designed for compliance with the requriements of the California Building Code (CBC) and the Americans with Disablitty Act (ADA). The maintenance projects will include interior and exterior painting; heating ventilation and air conditioning duct cleaning; removal and replacement of flooring; interior lighting upgrades and removal and replacement of telecom and data cabling. Minor exterior project will incldue redesign of the parking lot layout and resurfacing, resealing and restriping; removal and replacement of exterior signs; and to re-lamp the parking lot lights.
