Document Description
The project proposes to reduce accessibility barriers for the DMV's El Cajon Field Office site. In addition to barrier removal, maintenance projects will also be undertaken. Barrier accessibility will be designed for compliance with the requirements of the California Building Code (CBC) and the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). The maintenance projects will include interior and exterior painting; heating ventilation and air conditioning duct cleaning; removal and replacement of flooring; interior lighting upgrades and removal and replacement of telecom and data cabling. Minor exterior projects will include parking lot resurfacing, resealing and restriping; removal and replacement of exterior signs; and perimeter fencing. The construction contractor will follow any hazardous material waste handling and disposal requirements pursuant to appropriate local, state, and federal rules/regulations.
