Document Description
The City of Redding proposes to replace the Twin View Bridge over Churn Creek. The new bridge includes (1) 12-foot lane in each direction with 8-foot wide shoulders and 5-foot sidewalks, and a center turn lane. No new ROW is needed for the project. Traffic staging will occur during two construction phases. Cast in drilled hole (CIDH) piles will be placed to support the super structures. Falsework trestles over the creek will be supported by driven steel piles or the ground surface. The creek will be placed in temporary culverts under an embankment of spawning sized gravel capped with geotextile fabric and road base.
