Document Description
The Tehachapi District of the California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) in conjunction with the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Hanford, California will be installing a small valuable data that will assist the NWS in its mission to protect lives and property. The weather station will be a solar-powered unit and will be mounted on a 30-foot, guyed, telescoping mast that will be located within the Red Rock Maintenance/Resident area. The mast would be ground mounted with very little ground disturbance (less than a foot). The telescoping mast will be secured with guy wires that will be attached to the mast and to anchor bolts cemented into the ground (approximately 24 inches in the ground).
