Document Description
In7 March of 2011, a high water event saturated the levees causing slumping and fracturing of a 360 foot section of the east waterside levee and berm of the Yolo Bypass. The repair will consist of stabilizing the levee and re-compacting the soil on the levee. Existing riprap will be removed, stockpiled, and re-installed on the levees slope and the area will be hydroseeded. The work may be performed by operating up to twenty four hours a day seven days a week and is anticipated to be complete by December 30, 2011.

Reasons for Exemption
In accordance with Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, the US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) provided concurrence on 11/29/2011 taht the construction activities are not likely to adversely affectt the Giant Garter Snake. The repair area is adjacent to an industrial park where no residential areas are located therefore, no noise effects would occur. Also, no effects to water will occur as no in water work is expected.
