Document Description
The Army Corps will drill a total of seven borings from a depth of 50 to 100 feet beginning in November for a duration of two weeks. The sites would be accessed using existing ramps and roadways. No vegetation would be removed in order to access the boring locations. Soil cuttings and drilling fluid would be contained in 55-gallon drums and disposed of by the contractor at a site approved in writing by USACE. The borings would be backfilled with a cement-bentonite mixture in accordance with the Sacramento County Environmental Health Department guidelines. The surface would be restored with a cold asphalt patch on paved surfaces and soil on non-paved surfaces. No in-water work would occur.
