Sierra Northern Railway is applying for a Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing (RRIF) loan from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to conduct several improvements along existing right of way. Improvement projects will take place within SNR's existing ROW and other property. Two land acquisitions are included. Approximately 18.5 acres of undeveloped land will purchase from the Port of Sacramento. SNR will construct track and building on the Port land. The Davenport Rail Yard will be purchased from Union Pacific in Davenport, CA for continued use as a rail yard.
