The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (1600-2018-0148-R6) pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, County of San Bernardino Department of Public Works. Due to persistent flooding and damage, on-site restoration of 0.92 acres completed on March 2021 at Sheep Creek has been unsuccessful and would require several more years to meet CDFW success criteria. Therefore, the
Permittee proposes to amend the mitigation of temporary impacts by purchasing 1 acre of the State preservation credits in the Mojave Desert Tortoise Conservation Bank.
