Document Description
To enhance transit accessibility and create a more hospitable street experience overall, the proposed project would reconfigure the Broadway right-of-way, inclusive of sidewalks. The reconfiguration will reduce travel lanes from five to three, with one 11-foot southbound lane, one 10-foot northbound lane, and one 11-foot northbound lane. The three lanes will carry a mix of vehicular and public transit traffic. Additional reconfiguration proposed on Broadway includes eight-foot wide curb extensions at intersections and mid-block locations on both sides of Broadway. This will extend sidewalk widths on the west side of Broadway from approximately 17 feet to 25 feet.
