Document Description
SDP to allow for the construction of approximately 1,500 linear feet of a new 5-foot wide Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk, including three retaining walls situated down-slope of the road and sidewalk. The three retaining walls would range from 55 to 218 LF in length; and 7.5 feet in maximum height. Only the top 3-feet of the walls would be visible from canyon vantage points once construction is complete. A 4-foot high green vinyl chain link fence would be installed on top of the appropriate wall sections. In an effort to preserve a dirt path that connects to the sidewalk and due to the existing landform, a small 10 LF section of wall near the bottom of the canyon would have a wall face of approximately 3.8 feet. An approximate 4,000 s.f., off-street staging area assessed by the biological report is included in the least environmentally sensitive area just north of Juniper Street.
