Newport Road within the project limits is designated by the County of Riverside as an Urban Arterial Highway
Note: Review per lead
Caltrans, in cooperation with the County of Riverside and City of Menifee, proposes to widen Newport Road in the vicinity of I-215 and reconstruct the I-215/Newport Road interchange ramps. The project is located in the City of Menifee from post mile R17.4 to R19.3. The proposed improvements would require widening of the Newport Road overcrossing and northbound Salt Creek bridge. The improvements would reduce congestion along Newport Road in the vicinity of the interchange and improve traffic operations at the interchange.
